Hello Everyone, Welcome to my very first blog post💗. This blog will be a way for you to discover places to settle down with your latest read, get some studying done or socialise with friends across the big city that is London. As a current English lit and drama student I've always wanted to have a way to simply chat to people that are interested in the same things i am and so i landed on this idea.
I feel like a great way to get to know someone is their interests so i was thinking we could start with a letterbox style four favourites. But instead of films BOOKS! Leave a comment of your four favourite books that you couldn't live without. Like items on a desert island but if you could take four books with you plus the other useful things you would need. So if you like reading, coffee or simply chit chat give this blog a go!

The Magnolia Parks series was one of those series I had been meaning to read but just never actually purchased. So for Christmas last year i finally asked for it and had finished all 5 books by the end of January. It gave me everything i wanted and more. The 3rd book (
2nd Magnolia Parks) was my favourite by far!!!!
Reasons why i love this series:
- The relationships and depth of character. You feel like these characters could actually be real people.
- The fact its a love letter to London! I love when books are set in the city and Jessa's use of real locations add to the realism of the storyline.
- SO MUCH GOSSIP! there's a reason why its called British Gossip Girl, in fact it might even have more tea than the original. I guess that's why its set in England.

Powerless was another recent discovery. Again I'd witnessed the rage about this series on booktok but just didn't think it would be my thing AT ALL. I'd tried ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and didn't like it (unpopular opinion i know!) and just assumed that i was not a fan of fantasy writing in general.
However, this book proved me wrong! I loved the competitive element with the purging trials and Kai Azer alone makes the whole book worth the read. Cannot wait for Fearless.
Counting the days till April 8th!!!

Now, this book could honestly be my favourite book of all time. I love this era, love the characters, loved the structure of interview format.
An iconic character like Daisy Jones is not one created often and it was only enhanced by Riley Keogh's portrayal of her in the amazon prime series which is one of the few book to screen adaptations I would recommend.
I love Taylor Jenkins read in general and have read almost all of her novels. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Malibu Rising could also be in my top four.

Her ability to create and establish a universe is

This one is a bit of a switch up from my other choices that feature romance quite heavily, but I am impartial to a good thriller and this might be the best one out there (in my humble opinion).
All i can say if you like a plot twist that makes your jaw physically drop and you have to pause what your reading for a second and jump around than this is for you.
The narrative is crafted to perfection.
Trust me, give it a go if you have not already.
So i hope you feel like you know me a bit better than when you started reading this post! And if you enjoyed my opinions or completely hated them ( I KNOW BOOK OPINIONS CAN BE RATHER STRONG ) , either way i hope you will return to my page to agree or disagree once again!
